A horrific accident in Malshej Ghat has left three young people dead and three seriously injured.

Namdev Shelar / Murbad: A horrific accident occurred at Borade Fata in the Malshej Ghat area when an Artika car crashed into a tree. Three young men have died in the accident, and three others are seriously injured and are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital.

The Malshej Ghat road from Vaishakhare to Mhad is winding and crooked, with huge potholes on the road. The protective walls are crumbling, and landslides are occurring. The approved road work in the ghat has not yet started. Last year, a grand inauguration of the road work took place at Thidavi, but no work has been done in the ghat since last year. As a result, drivers and tourists have to travel with their lives in their hands.

The driver of an Artika car heading towards Malshesh Ghat from Kalyan lost control, and the car crashed into a tree on the side of the road. In this horrific accident, Ashwin Bhoir, Pratik Chorge, and Naresh Mhatre lost their lives, while three others in the car were seriously injured. The Artika car with registration number MH 05 EA 1993 was completely mangled.

Many people have lost their lives in accidents during the monsoon at Malshej Ghat. The locals here are demanding that the government pay attention to the need for widening the road at Malshej Ghat.The road from Murbad to Kalyan Chowpadi is currently in good condition, with a narrow road that has many twists and turns from Vaishakhare to Mhad, leading towards the Malshej Ghat.

Despite the approval of funds for the road, the work on the road has not yet started, raising the question of when local representatives will pay attention to this issue.
